
Degree Attestation from HEC – New Online Process 2026
Degree attestation from HEC has become a completely online process after the new system implemented on 11th May 2026. Unlike the previous manual ticket-based system, candidates no longer need to visit HEC Islamabad or regional offices for physical verification, and submission of original documents is not required.
Old HEC Degree Attestation Process vs New Online System
Previously, universities submitted graduate records to HEC periodically, and HEC verified the student’s degree through its database, university accreditation status, and student record. After verification, a physical attestation ticket was pasted on the back of the degree, and candidates obtained attestation through an online appointment and personal appearance at HEC offices.
The new HEC online degree attestation process works through direct digital verification with universities. HEC sends the applicant’s record to the designated University Focal Person (UFP) for confirmation before proceeding with attestation.
